On Track, Off Track, On Track

Anyone who has taken on this battle knows how easily life can knock you off track. Life can just Mike Tyson uppercut you to the face sometimes. That has been life over the past month. But, we will carry on.

I have not been so off track that I have gained all my weight back. Even during this time of being off track many of my new habits have held. I do eat smaller quantities regularly and my food selection has had permanent changes. This has saved me. Without doing an official weigh in I am hovering around 275-277 lbs. This is still 33-35 lbs lighter then I was nearly two years ago.

My goal for the year was to weigh 240lbs by the end of 2011. I still am going to hold to that goal.

It’s back to the basics. I have download a food/calories tracker app for my smarty pants phone and setting exercise goals. I have not been gaining weight, but it is time to be a loser again. Here we go….

Weigh In 09-07-11 and Update

Greetings fellow losers! Yes, my summer happened to Trevor is a Loser. Not in the weight gaining way, but the no updates right here kind of way. I am still here and I am still living the loser life (most days).

How did the 15 day juice fast go? It did not turn out to be a 15 day juice fast after all. I was short sighted to thing that I could juice fast at Tri-State Camp. Juicing takes extra effort in preparation time and that was really tough to do when you barely get any sleep at camp. The victory was that I probably ate the best I ever have at camp.

Juicing has become a regular part of my eating plan. Juice fasts will become something I do regularly. The benefits were awesome. After the “hump” around day 2 it was great and I felt great.

With the craziness of my typical summer behind me, I do have some specific, intentional things I will be doing for the loser life. My goal for the year was to weigh 240 lbs by the end of the year. It’s time to be on the attack.

Dave and Rachael, I have been keeping up. You are doing great! You both are killing it. You have helped me more than you realize!

The question of what happens to nutrients during the process of concentrating is still very much in debate. I leave you with a few articles debating the subject from both sides. Please note, many claims about not-from-concentrate juices not having as much nutrients still has the juice being pasteurized. This is an other process which can deteriorate nutrients from food.
